A Tree to Sit Under and...

... perhaps only dream...

I don't know why I didn't get any 'visible' done nowadays...
I'm still struggling with the April blocks for My favorite things -quilt, others in SAL -group are three blocks ahead of me. It doesn't sound much, but to me it's a marathon. Shall I ever reach the others? Maybe I have become old and slow... and I need to go my own pace.

What happened with May's AYOS?
Here? No remarkable...
Doc is still in pieces on my cutting board... so I didn't take part to the Schnibble parade in this... no... last month :o(. But SintaRenee and Sherri are displaying wonderful Doc parades. Please, remember to visit and watch them!

Because I know the HOT summer will come some day...
although it still seem to be far away...

... but when it's come, then it's awful to be inside, sew and use iron with the steam... so I dug up one of my regular 'summer' project - HEXAGONs.
BUT I DUG only SOME of them UP ;o)

The other regular 'summer' project is cross-stitching.

I think some of you have seen The Lily of the Valley cross-stitching here earlier.
I don't remember, when I started it... anyway years ago...
... joten kukkaiskeijun merkeissä osallistun kesäkuussa
JOTAIN VALMISTA JOKA KUUKAUSI -haasteeseen.
... so this flower fairy will be my finished 'UFO' for the June!!!

BUT NOW
I suddenly got the feeling that I'll join Fenix, sit under the blossoming tree and dream of...

... oh, I forgot... we don't have an apple tree on our balcony, then we'll just dream of it ;o)

Happy week to you,
let it be full of dreams!!!

Progress in My Favorite Things

Happy and joyful winter day...

This week I focused on Stitch-a-long blocks for My Favorite Things quilt. February blocks: an ice cream, a hot chocolate and a good book are now appliqued, stitched...
(The tales behind the blocks you'll found here.)

... and all ten blocks are pieced together - almost!
Annie's quilt has all the sashing stripes cream or other light colours, but I'm using grey for the outer part of sashings. Now I'll take a small break with it, but only until March.

This photo is greetings to Laila!

She asked me to show my Granny's blanket ;o).
I crocheted it at early 80's. Therefore it's very colorful, which is not typical for me. The yarns are mainly man-made fibers, therefore it's also quite heavy. So I haven't used it much.
I have dreamed of crochet a new blanket...
... but what colour?

Maybe this color?
But I'm not sure, if the variegated yarn is good for grannies...
What do you think? I would love to hear YOUR opinion.

Many knitting projects are also progressing here...

... a frilly scarf is one of them.

... till next time!

Some Kind of Wonderful - News

I managed to focus on something in this week...

and finished the blocks of January for SAL group SKofW.
Did I show you the blocks for December?

There is also interesting stories behind the blocks... and you'll meet talent ladies...

Here are the blocks...

... sewed together.
I won't sew the sashing stripes yet... some of the SAL -ladies will do that now... but I want to sew & applique more blocks, before starting with the sashings...

HAPPY Stitching WEEK!!!
