In the spring I saw the photo of small hexagon bag - somewhere on the net -, when I was looking for material for the lesson of how to make hexagons and english paperpiecing. Since then the bag has been on my mind... and recently I found a pattern here. It took a while, but now it's nearly finished! I made it of 3/4" hexagons. So it's really, really small bag... maybe it's too small even for the coins... BUT now I only have to think about the handle... and search the button...

Oh, I'm so near to my desire...

PS. Today we had a 'normal' summer... temperature about 20 degrees;)
but tomorrow again 25... perhaps...

Few Stitches Here, Few Seams There...

... not yet much has happened... it's hot, hot, hot in here...

I know some people think 25 - 29 degrees Celsius is an excellent summer weather, but I really prefer lower temperature.

I have had difficulties to focus on a 'bigger' sewing project. It has felt quite chaotic, when I have searched some inspiration and tried... for example hexagons, stitching, crocheting, cross-stitching, knitting, appliqueing... 

Do I sound all too stressed?....

It's not the meaning, but I would like to finish something...

 

... I mean... something else than blocks...

2. one for the Whimsical Garden

I know finishing them is a good thing, but however...

I'm  desperately desiring OPAM... even tiny...... but, when I look that photo above, where I gathered some projects for this week

1. second block of The Night before Christmas
2. piece of terry cloth
3. cross-stitching of Flower Fairy

finding OPAM looks quite unlikely...
Oh my...


While I'm searching / desiring OPAM, Fenix is doing his manicure;)

Upsetting News from Norway...

I tried to focus on one block of Whimsical Garden last week, but...

it's still unfinished...

The only block I finished was SBS block

Where shall I find more stimulations?

That I can have atleast one OPAM in July...

Mainly collages...

I haven't spend much time in sewing room...

... it has (again) been a real summer weather all the week here,

in southeast part of Finland...

... I WISH a good thunderstorm to refreshing the air, although it might be frightening and dangerous...

so this posting is mainly photo collages...

and I'm giving the main role to Fenix;)

Last weekend I visited at IKEA and carried home this Expedit - furniture. I have dreamed and thought about it for a long time... and now it's in my sewing room.

... it's Great!!!!

There is plenty of room for cutting the large fabrics... and the high of the table is much more better than high of my previous cutting table... 

Heaven, no more aching back...

Look! The upper shelf is very useful too;)

 Today I stitched one block of 'Tis the Season' -quilt. It's called Santa's Boots. I also cutted some fabrics for a baby quilt... I'll try to make a 'Le Petite' -project in this month, although I have no pattern of 'George'... but I'll improvise...

... and I solved the puzzle! It's SBS block K-5 called Ocean Waves.

 Oh, it's HOT, hot and HOT! here at the computer. My skin is sticky...

I think 

I'm gonna leave and cool myself with a bath and an icy sangria...
