My Jelly Roll is Dandelion Girl from Fig Tree Quilts (Moda). For the sashing and outside border I choosed Allspice Tapestry (also Fig Tree Quilts) and Scented Memories (Danhui Nai)

1. Why I didn't put the checked square in the middle of the block?
2. Why I didn't choose the darker brown fabric for the little squares?
