Jotain valmista joka kuukausi - TOUKOKUU

on valmis ;o)
The Flower Patch tablecloth is done...

... even if Fenix tried to protest by lying all too close to the B.

OH, I'm so relieved (after the failure in April), because my goal for May is realized!

I started to sew it in the autumn of 2009. It's a one ModaBakeShop recipe for June in that same year. As always, my mind changes over the years, I didn't want to sew it with the original pattern. There is no ric-rac and the quilt is much smaller. I think the latter is no surprise, when we are talking about my doings ;o) The tablecloth is 46 cm x 46 cm.

Here is few details of quiltings.

I'm still quite unsure free motion quilter, but I tried to sew some double-bubble shapes... yes, I saw a good sleep the night before last. What on earth I'll see next, när jag blundar :o)

Happy week to you all!!!

Secrets Week

Unfortunately I don't have much to show you today, because (almost) the only project, which I have done this week is TOP secret!!!

A project, which I can show you is Zakka Style Mug Rug. It was Zakka Along weekly project.

The pattern is from the Zakka Style book. I changed it a little by adding some daisies. The size of the rug is 6"x 6", so my rug is also smaller than the original.

End of May seems to be busy and quite green, because...

the Flower Patch quilt is in this stage...

... waiting for the quilting and binding.
I hope to see a good sleep tonight how to quilt it ;o)

And the days become warmer...

... therefore 'our garden' needs more attention too ;o)

Wishing you a sunny week

The Best Place in the World...

... mother's lap!

In addition to Mother's Day I spent few hours (only) with my B.

and sewed block7 for the Designer Mystery 2011 quilt. It's 'Dandelion'. I have planned some changes for the original pattern. There's twelve blocks on the top. I'm planning to use nine blocks and put the rest three to the back... but I'm not sure about that... yet... Maybe it's ridiculous to alter the pattern...
Raining Cats and Dogs block three is finished ;o) Aren't they cute???
What else I have done lately? Not much, except some crocheted...

I started to crochet the flowers about a year ago... but still one pink ball of wool left. I don't know how many patches I have... but I don't either have a real product idea... yet

Hey Satu! Should I count them????
 Pur-one, two, three....
purr-seventeen....
purr-thirty-two...
purr-oh, I'm so exhausted...

fifty-seven patches!
...hm, after two pink ball... then there will be about ninety patches finally...

Do you have idea what to do with them?
I would be happy to read them ;o)

We wish you a lovely - hopefully warm and sunny - week!!!

Miscellaneous

I spent the weekend mixed with crocheting, sewing, appliquéing, knitting...
sounds quite tricky, don't you think...
but I sewed just one more Card Trick block... I didn't finish any BOM blocks for the Rehab :o/
In any case something happened...

The next Designer Mystery block called Dandelion is cutted and Raining Cats and Dogs block three is almost finished ;o) I'll show the picture of the whole block, when it's ready.

And LOOK! The borders of the Butterfly Garden has sewn!!!

Between sewing patches we sewed some curtains... and Fenix found a cosy sleeping place... purr-bed of roses...

I have fallen behind the SKofW stitch-along group...
... in the past weekend I sewed March's blocks together. Here I come, girls!

Fenix was very helpful, when I chose the fabrics for the tree block...

... which will be HIS favorite block in this quilt - I think so ;o)

A new week and a 'new adventures' are waiting for us...
HAPPY WEEK to YOU!!!

Hello Luscious meets Doc or...

... Fenix!
In May Another Year of Schnibbles project is Doc
By the way have you heard the great news?

Sewing Schnibbles is now more and more funny, because Carrie has published them in the pdf -formats. It's very practical way to purchase patterns for us, who live here behind the seas...

So I have already the pattern, luscious fabrics and the table, which needs a new cloth...

I wish you a wonderful weekend
with or without tricks ,o)
